Inuyasha is a great anime airing on Cartoon Network during Adult Swim that takes place both in Modern Japan
(for a little bit), but mostly in the Feudal Era. The main character is Kagome, an average, every day teenager; or at least
she was until she fell into her grandfather's well, which was on his temple grounds. This well teleported her into another
time, the Feudal Era of Japan; a time where Demons roamed the Earth. There Kagome meets Inuyasha, a half-demon half-human
who's been pinned to a tree for 50 years. In the beginning, they dislike each other, but nevertheless they sort of team up
to recover the many shards of the Shikon Jewel, which is so powerful even a single shard can increase the bearer's power.
As they continue to search for the jewel shards, they run into several people willing to help them in their quest, such as
Miroku, a wandering Monk, Shippo, a cute little fox-like demon, and Sango, a girl from a tribe of demon hunters. But in the
same aspect they also run into others who wish to have the shards for evil, such as Sesshomaru, Inuyasha's full-demon twin
brother, and Naraku, a powerful, evil, and mysterious Demon.
My Opinion
I think Inuyasha is a great anime to enjoy and watch over and over. Rumiko Takahashi did a good job creating the manga
and the characters. The animation, it could have been more detailed, but they did a great job. I think they wanted to keep
the animation simple so the viewer could enjoy the story. The anime is great for everyone, girls will be attracted to the
unrequited love story, while guys will be glued to their T.V. by the mind numbing action. Inuyasha is a very funny and exciting
series, and I reccomend it to everyone. (Thanx Elise)
